  • Thursday, April 16, Algonquin Round Table Talk and Discussion, New York Public Library, Mid-Manhattan Branch. Explore the Algonquin Round Table’s favorite salons and saloons, their homes and offices (most still standing), while learning about their colorful careers and private lives. Author Kevin C. Fitzpatrick will present a talk on the famous, and the less famous, names that met at the Algonquin Hotel from 1919 to 1929. The event begins at 6:30 PM on the Sixth Floor of the New York Public Library, 455 Fifth Avenue.

  • Kevin Fitzpatrick offers a monthly walking tour of the Algonquin Round Table New York homes and haunts. Each tour meets in the lobby of the Algonquin Hotel at noon. The 2-hour walk encompasses the Theatre District, Rockefeller Center, Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen. There are more than 40 destinations on the tour, including speakeasies, theaters, offices, homes and landmarks. Immediately following the walking tours, guests have the option of having lunch or cocktails at the Round Table in the hotel’s award-winning restaurant (cost of lunch and drinks is separate). Tickets are $20 each and can be ordered in advance on TicketWeb, or just pay for them when you show up for the walk (cash and credit cards accepted).
